Craig & Debbie Minke and their three children worked hard to transform an old hayfield into a blueberry field, planting 3 year-old bushes in 2008. Organic farming is important to us--we are passionate about growing delicious berries without the use of chemicals and pesticides. Although we have been growing this way for years, we decided to pursue official certification with the Fraser Valley Organic Producers Association. Our farm was transitional in 2015 and achieved certified organic status in 2016. We have been recertified in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023.

At Minke Blueberry Farm we value community. Through the years we have hosted Grade 8 students from Langley Christian School. After some discussion about organic farming and the need to ask questions about the foods they eat, the students help with some weeding and fertilizing. We invite them to come and pick for us in the summer. In appreciation for their work, a donation is made to the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope in Langley.

Our pickers become like family, forming friendships as they work together. We love seniors and students, and everyone in between. We pay $1 per lb of sorted berries, much more than the industry average. Please contact us to join the team!
